The Memphis Grizzlies and FedExForum today announced a new exclusive partnership with
Methodist Healthcare, focusing on population health management and community wellness initiatives, with an emphasis on urging Memphians to make positive, small choices throughout daily life in pursuit of better health. The relationship will also promote a variety of Methodist’s services, including its vast primary care network with same-day appointment scheduling and health tips via the Methodist mobile app.
“Aligning with Methodist Healthcare was a natural fit for us as we both strive to nurture a Greater Memphis,” said President of Business Operations Jason Wexler. “We’re extremely pleased to unite with Methodist and grow awareness of the impressive and progressive steps they have undertaken and are planning to undertake to advance community health and wellness.”
Methodist Healthcare includes seven hospitals, 23 primary care clinics and multiple specialty clinics. Methodist’s Memphis Hospitals were once again ranked Best in the Memphis-metro area by U.S. News & World Report for 2014-2015. The annual U.S News Best rankings, now in their 25th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients.
"We are very excited to team up with the Memphis Grizzlies as the official healthcare partner of our city's NBA team," said Gary Shorb, Chief Executive Officer, Methodist Healthcare. "Our mission of providing high-quality, cost-effective healthcare for every corner of Memphis and the Mid-South parallels the far-reaching fan base of the Grizzlies. Our pride for Memphis shows in everything we do, and that's why we felt this partnership would be beneficial for not only us, but for Grizzlies fans everywhere."
