Native Memphian Chris Cantrell said that he chose to participate in the
Memphis EPIcenter Logistics Innovations Accelerator program because of the alignment between his company’s focus on logistics and the accelerator’s focus on technologies and products that enable and enhance logistical innovations.
“Being from Memphis certainly helped, but I think the deep pool of logistics industry experts deserves most of the credit for putting this program in my plan, along with the fact that Memphis is a Logistic hub,” said Cantrell.
His company,
L7, is an online marketplace for consumer-to-consumer shipping options. His business is designed to offer instant price quotes and shipping options, and get products delivered directly to the consumer, not a freight dock.
“We are perfecting the user experience and signing up LTL carriers for the platform,” said Cantrell. “As soon as those things are finished, we start solving people’s shipping problems.”
Cantrell is planning to put his business model into practice in June 2016.
