Join High Ground News on August 2 for an evening of storytelling to celebrate the beauty, diversity, history and future of the historic Uptown and Pinch neighborhoods. Residents, small business owners and young folks from the neighborhoods will share stories about the personal experiences and events that shaped their relationships with Uptown and The Pinch.
Doors open at 6:30 at the Explore Bike Share warehouse in Uptown, located at 61 Keel Avenue.
Come early to check out the Explore Bike Share bikes and take a short jaunt around the neighborhood. Attendance is free and refreshments will be provided.
The event caps off our four-month On The Ground engagement in Uptown and The Pinch. In that time, we've worked alongside residents in writing articles about Memphis' oldest neighborhoods. With that program drawing to a close, we're inviting community members to the stage.
Presented with support from Explore Bike Share, Downtown Memphis Commission, and Blues City Cultural Center. Please RSVP on
Eventbrite.
