Regional One Health continues the overhaul of the space at 6555 Quince Road, known as the East Campus.
One of the final pieces is underway with a nearly $1 million building permit that was filed in December. It is related to an imaging center for the first floor, which should be complete in late spring.
“This is just another extension of what we’ve tried to do with other clinics with the ‘we can see you now’ mantra,” said Susan Cooper, Chief Integration Officer and Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services at Regional One Health.
The entire building has seen interior and exterior renovations, including a new canopy drop off built at the front door. All of the spaces housing medical services have undergone significant renovations as they have been converted from traditional office space into medical spaces.
Regional One Health occupies about half of the building with the other half leased by tenants.
The multispecialty clinic on the first floor will allow patients to see multiple specialties. The unique design allows patients to see more than one specialist on the same day in the same room.
Patients will visit a primary care provider for any number of reasons, from an annual physical to a check of chronic diseases such as diabetes or heart disease. If a referral to a specialists such as a cardiologist is needed the primary care doctor connects the patient to that specialist, all in the same room.
“It gives you control around making decisions of how you want to have care delivered,” Cooper said. “It’s a one-stop shop.”
A first-floor pharmacy opened in December. Other features include the second-floor Center for Rehabilitative Medicine that provides outpatient rehabilitation, including traditional therapies as well as alternative services such as massage therapy and Pilates.
The fifth floor houses reproductive medicine and urogynecology practices.
