Madison Heights

Madison Heights is one of several distinct neighborhoods in the larger Medical District. It radiates from the intersection of Madison Avenue and Cleveland Street and includes the many shops, homes and service organizations between McNeil Street and Interstate-240 east-west and Poplar and Union avenues north-south. The name 'Madison Heights' may not be well-known, but it's been around since the late 1800's when the area was an independent township. Currently, there is an effort to reclaim the name and distinguish this unique neighborhood from neighboring Crosstown, Midtown and The Edge.

High Ground's On the Ground neighborhood journalism series is embedded in Madison Heights for 16-weeks from April 2019 through July 2019.
